SHIP ID Card

Soon after you enroll in the SHIP, an ID card will be sent to the local address you have on file with the University Registrar’s Office. If you lose your card or do not receive one, please choose one of the following options:

Request a SHIP ID card 

  • Call the Cornell Office of Student Health Insurance: 607 255-6363
  • Contact Aetna Student Health, provider of the SHIP:
    Call 800 859-8475  
    Or visit their website and do the following:
    -  Click "Students"
    -  Find Your School = Cornell
    -  Look under "Get Started"
    -  Click "Help"
    -  Click "Ask a Question" (via email) 
        (ID card replacement, claims and enrollment status, etc.)
    -  Click "Request a Student Health Insurance Card"

Temporary SHIP ID

Should you need to fill a prescription or see a provider outside Gannett prior to receiving your ID card, you can obtain a temporary card  from Aetna Student Health. Follow this link to do so.
